JLI Overcomes Supply Chain Crisis to Distribute New Game in Time for Chanukah

One of JLI’s popular projects is the How Jew You Do? game series. The Jewish trivia games help shluchim provide a warm personal atmosphere at Shabbos and seder tables, Chanukah parties, and other Chabad House events.

The new Chanukah edition was produced in China in time to kick off Chanukah events and parties and create a meaningful and fun Jewish experience. Enter the worldwide shipping crisis that has companies scrambling to make their products available to consumers amid supply chain disruption and skyrocketing shipping costs.

“Since thousands of boxes of the new game are stranded in a shipping container on a freight liner somewhere between China and the U.S., we arranged for air-shipping to rush the delivery of the Chanukah games,” said Rabbi Mendel Sirota of JLI.

The first three educational games in the series—How Jew You Do, How Jew You Think, and How Jew You Do – Passover Edition—have been an enormous success and a favorite with shluchim and people of all ages. The games have been used as icebreakers, discussion starters, family game nights, and perfect gift items.

The Chanukah game consists of colorful cards that are distributed randomly around the crowd. Cards come in three categories. “Trivia” cards in the new edition will test players on their Chanukah knowledge (sometimes teaching something new). The “Think” cards have no right or wrong answers and are a great catalyst for Chanukah discussion. The “Personal” cards allow the players to share their thoughts and experiences with the rest of the group.

The game can be purchased on Amazon and myJLI.com.
