Shluchim Prepare for KInus Hashluchim with “Vision Conscious” Zoom Conference
This year’s Kinus Hashluchim will not be the first; in fact, it will be the 35th International Kinus (number 39 since the Kinus began for the USA and Canada). However, this year’s Kinus brings with it something revolutionary. For the first time, a global preparation will take place, allowing Shluchim to ready themselves and get into the ‘Kinus spirit.’
It was 30 years ago on Shabbos Parshas Chaya Sarah 5752 that the Rebbe delivered a monumental Sicha to the Shluchim, the last Kinus Hashluchim sicha we have merited thus far to hear. The Rebbe taught that a shliach embodies the unique characteristics of Moshiach, hence they are the vital last link to bringing Geulah. It was then that the Rebbe tasked his shluchim, and indeed every single chossid, with becoming “vision conscious”; to permeate all aspects of shlichus with the goal of Moshiach in mind.
A global Zoom gathering of Shluchim worldwide will take place this Wednesday, 7th of MarCheshvan, to launch the groundbreaking preparation program. Titled Vision Conscious, the program’s purpose is to inspire ourselves with the consciousness that every step of our lives, and every facet of our shlichus, is towards the ultimate goal of actualizing Moshiach’s arrival.
The Zoom Conference will feature 30 Shluchim underscoring the Vision Conscious theme by sharing personal anecdotes recounting how the Rebbe’s historic address influenced them in their personal lives and shlichus. A unique element will be that each of these 30 Shluchim have gone out on shlichus in each one of the 30 years since the sicha was said.
“The Kinus is a time that we unite as Shluchim to realign ourselves with our mission,” explains Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch and Chairman of the International Conference of Shluchim. “The idea of this Hachanah is to maximize the impact of the Kinus so that we better internalize the theme and bring it home for the whole year.”
A unique handbook that translates, elucidates and provides commentary to the sicha was produced. In addition, a dedicated resource website will shortly be launched, offering a variety of Shiurim on the Sicha, both live and prerecorded.
This special event will take place on Wednesday, 7 Cheshvan, October 13, at 3:00 PM ET. You don’t want to miss out!
