Despite Torrential Rains, Sukkos Celebrated in Moscow

Under torrential rain, hundreds of Jews sat down to the first two days of Sukkot in the magnificent Sukkah at the Marina Roshcha Central Synagogue in central Moscow.

The Yom Tov meals, which were headed by Russia’s Chief Rabbi Rabbi Berel Lazar, moved from the Sukkah to dance on a city street celebrating Simchas Beis Hashoeva.

During the holidays, various Torah shiurim were held, and the general public enjoyed plenty of refreshments and drinks in the Sukkah arranged by the dedicated Gabayim staff.
