Chabad of Arizona has announced the planned opening of two new high schools starting this August.

The new schools, which will be tailored to Chabad families, will have dorms to accommodate out of town students, according to Jewishaz.com, bringing another option to the table for high school boys and girls.

“It’s very hard to get in anywhere, and it’s also not fun to have to send your ninth-grader away,” said Chabad of Scottsdale Rabbi Yossi Levertov.

Rabbi Levertov is spearheading the boys Yeshiva, which is already full despite not having even started yet.

The girls high school, which will bear the name Beis Chana High School of Arizona for girls is also full, and will be have Mrs. Rishe Majesky, who was formerly the principal of the Bnos Menachem girls’ school as its principal.

According to reports, the yeshiva’s freshman class will host around twenty students, only seven of whom are locals.

The boys will learn at the Jewish Learning Center, adjacent to the Chabad of Scottsdale, and will live in a dormitory nearby.

The Beis Chana’s freshman class will start with 17 students, also only seven of whom are locals.
