Chabad School Berlin Named Berlin’s Smartest School

Despite school closures and the pandemic situation, students at the Jewish Traditional School in Berlin had virtually no missed classes. With its alternation of presence and online teaching, the lessons followed the Berlin curriculum for the upper secondary school and were expanded in content with subjects such as Hebrew and Jewish religion.

The success model of the Jewish Traditional School is based on high-quality knowledge transfer and, above all, individualized learning: learning content is dealt with according to the competence level of the students and in close coordination between teachers, students and parents.

Thanks to these factors, the students were able to pass their Abitur excellently despite an exceptional year with unprecedented lockdown periods and show that individual support and teacher commitment have a more than positive effect on learning.

The Jewish Traditional School was founded by Rabbi Yeuhuda Teichtal and his wife Leah. In 2005, the elementary school division began and has since offered an integrated and continuing educational chain through high school graduation.

In the summer of 2022, the school will move to the 8,000 m² Jewish Campus, which is currently under construction and will be the first Jewish campus in Germany.
