Two Niggunim For Yud Beis Tammuz

The Niggun Yud Beis Tammuz was composed by R’ Aharon Charitonov in honor of today’s Chag Hageula and is sung by chassidim worldwide.

The Niggun Nyet Nyet Nikavo, was composed by R Michoel Dvorkin when he was a bochur in the times of the Rebbe Rashab. One day he went into his father’s business chopping down trees, and started singing the niggun, which means no, there is no one besides for Hashem.

Many years later, on the Yom Tov of Yud Beis Tammuz, the Frierdiker Rebbe was in Kostroma and was told that he was free and had to come back the next day on Yud Gimmel Tammuz to get his papers. R’ Michoel, upon hearing the news, took a bottle of Mashke in his hand and started dancing with great joy while singing the niggun.

Many years later on Yud Beis Tammuz 5725, the Rebbe asked the Chassidim to sing it in honor of the Chag Hageula.

Almost no one knew it. From then on it became famous and became one of the well-known songs in the Chabad repertoire.
