Rabbi Rafi Goodwin, a Chabad Rabbi serving the non-Chabad synagogue of Chigwell & Hainault in Essex, UK, was attacked by a group of youths Sunday morning, prompting a visit to the hospital.

According to reports, Rafi had been in the Limes Estate when he was set upon by a couple of youths, suffering cuts to his scalp and eye.

He was transported to King George Hospital for treatment where he received stitches to the back of his head and is expected to be home for Yom Tov.

According to an assessment of the incident, it does not appear to have been anti-Semitic in nature rather stemmed from a road rage incident and is under further investigation.
