Rabbi of Berlin Presents Matza to Vice Chancellor Germany

During the pre Pesach visits by Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, Rabbi of Berlin – to the senior German government ministers and officials, the rabbi received special permission to stand and speak at the place where the Nazis first announced the final solution.

Rabbi Teichtal spoke the answer of the Jewish people to darkness and is light and education as taught by the Rebbe, and shouted “Am Yisrael Chai!” ”

As every year before Passover, Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, Rabbi of Berlin, makes the round of visits sharing the message of Pessach.

Rabbi Teichtal met with the Ministers of Finance, Health, Defense and more, and even with the Deputy Chancellor of Germany who is running in the election for the position of chancellor to be held in a few months.

During the official visits, which were widely covered in the German media, the Rabbi told the ministers about the Jewish people’s history, the Rabbi shared the diverse growing Jewish life and activities and of the revival of the community.
In addition, the Rabbi Teichtal described and expanded on the progress of the construction of the huge Jewish campus, which is currently being completed, a 90,000 square foot campus located in the center of Berlin and expected to include a yeshiva, children’s educational institutions, sports center, a large festive hall and event location and more.

In addition, during the visit, the rabbi received special permission to stand and speak in the conference room where the Nazis announced the final solution.

The rabbi called and concluded with the words “Am Yisrael Chai” with great excitement.

“It was a moving moment,” said one attendee. “To see the rabbi standing in such a place dressed with these Jewish garments and talking about the continuity of the Jewish people, is not something you see every day.”

It should be noted that the Rabbi, who, as mentioned, was received warmly by senior government officials, heard from them about their deep commitment to helping the community. Rabbi Teichtel summed up the visit and said that “remembering the past is always the foundation, at the same time we have to male sure there is a strong present and future for Jewish life, we sharpened the message that the key now is to do all we can that Jewish life and communities show grow and be flourishing. This was the approach of the Lubavitcher Rebbe – to go forward and constantly reach more Jews and more Jews, spreading the positive message of Torah and Mitzvot all over more and more.”
