In December of 1941 a group of local, non chabad Boro Park Jews, met at Yeshiva Toras Emes at the time on 12th Ave and 44th Street to establish the first Beis Rivka school under the auspices of Merkos.

Rabbi Eliyahu Simpson the local Chabad Rav and secretary of the Rebbe Raayatz was go between.

The actual school site was in Rabbi Simpson’s shul on 46th Street between 15th and 16th Avenues where it still stands today.

Once the school was established and funded by the local people, it became the first Beis Yaakov school.
