Camp Emunah Traveling Shlichus Camp To Open For The Summer of 5781

With the Bitachon that the country will reopen by spring of 2021; Camp Emunah has announced that the 10th grade west coast traveling shluchis program will resume this upcoming summer of 5781. Unfortunately due to COVID it was canceled this past summer. This year they will also allow 11th graders to join the camp due to the lost opportunity from summer 5780

The trip, which offers a unique blend of both creative educational programming and exhilarating recreational experiences, was founded by Rabbi Shaya Gansbourg, z’l, after Gimmel Tammuz, to give tenth graders the opportunity to experience the Rebbe’s Shlichus, hands on and in real time.

This West Coast circuit includes visiting California, Oregon, and Washington states, as well as the Canadian West Coast, and is built upon the foundation of bringing heaven down to earth. By fusing Chabad House visits, hands-on pe’ulos and mivtzoim, and daily learning, with outstanding fun-filled activities replete with whitewater rafting, sand duning, alpine sliding, rock climbing, numerous attractions, theme parks, and unique surprise events that never fail to excite and delight, the Traveling Shluchos are gifted with experiencing a happy, healthy balance of the material and spiritual.

Through touring Chabad Centers across the West Coast, participants have the opportunity to meet and interact with Shluchim and Shluchos, and their respective communities. There is no greater way of imparting a taste of Shlichus than actually trying it on for size. Listening to the Rebbe’s soldiers on the ground, learning from their selflessness and dedication, working alongside them in various pe’ulos, and connecting with their home-grown beautiful families, leaves an indelible impact on each and every Traveling Shlucha lucky enough to join the program. Spending each Shabbos in another Chabad House opens up new worlds and windows to the inspiring Shlichus-way-of-life, while imbuing each tenth-grader with a deeper understanding of what it means to be the Rebbe’s m’sha’layach, instilling increasing pride in being a Bas Chabad.

The Tenth Grade Traveling Shluchos Program is directed and led by Rebbetzin Chava Hecht, may she be blessed with arichas yomim v’shonim tovos.
It is coordinated and supervised by Mrs. Goldie Gansbourg and Mrs. Sarah Lieberman, and a superb staff of experienced, dedicated counselors.
This special program is dedicated to the memory of Rabbi Gansbourg OBM, founder of Chabad of Harlem.
