JEM: Chof Cheshvan with the Rebbe

JEMCentral.org

In honor of the 20th of Cheshvan, JEM presents two beautiful videos. A history of the Rostover Niggun, and a video encapsulating the moments with the Rebbe on 20th of Cheshvan.

The 20th of Cheshvan marks the birthday of the fifth Rebbe of Chabad, the Rebbe Rashab. He was born in the year 5621 (1860). Rabbi Sholom DovBer, also known as the Rebbe Rashab, became known as the “Rambam of Chassidus Chabad,” for his ability to organize topics in Chassidus.

In 1897 the Rebbe Rashab established one of his greatest legacies, Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch, an institution which now has branches in every corner of the world.

The Rebbe Rashab passed away in Rostov on 2 Nissan, 1920 (5680). Among his final words were: “I am going to heaven; the writings I leave for you…,” a reference to the thousands of manuscripts that he penned.

In honor of Chof Cheshvan, JEM has produced the full-color Farbrengen of 20 Cheshvan 5745 with subtitles in three languages. JEM.tv members can watch the full Farbrengen here.
