Germany’s Federal Minister of Health Meets Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, Discusses New Jewish Campus
On Tuesday Germany’s federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn (CDU) invited Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal to a meeting at the Federal Ministry of Health.
Thanks to the ministry’s quick response, Germany is one of the countries in the world with comparatively low Covid-19 infection rates. Jens Spahn himself is considered a friend of Israel and a supporter of Jewish life in Germany.
In the conversation between Rabbi Teichtal and the Minister of Health, the topics discussed included the construction of the new Jewish campus being built now, the diversity of the Jewish community and how it will soon be expanded to include the new Jewish Campus.
In view of the coming high holidays, the Jewish community’s handling of the current Corona measures was also an important topic, which also emphasized the insight and necessity of each individual to take care of the security of the community.
Rabbi Teichtal presented the Minister of Health with the book containing the wisdom of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Schneerson and was pleased with the constructive exchange.
