Who Needs You? Brand New Children’s Book Inspired By Rabbi Manis Friedman

You don’t expect to find a book by Rabbi Manis Friedman in the children’s section at the local bookstore. Yet that is exactly where you will find Rabbi Friedman’s newly released “Who Needs You.”

Written by the veteran writer Sara Blau, beautifully illustrated and geared towards children ages 6-9, “Who Needs You” conveys, in a kid-friendly way, the timeless message that we are here to fulfill G-d’s needs. In the book, a conversation between a zayde and his grandchildren brings out the author’s message. “After all, this whole thing is His doing, so it must be for Him,” the book tells us.

Rabbi Zalman Friedman, the book’s managing editor and director of It’s Good to Know, says that this is a great way to have children and parents discuss this topic, and eventually lead to a better world. “The messages that Rabbi Friedman has been sharing for years are universal,” he said, “and apply to every single person and that every single age.”

“The younger generation is excited to hear this message,” Rabbi Manis Friedman said, “They feel empowered knowing that they are needed for something special.”

The book has been met with excitement from book sellers and store owners, as well as parents and educators.

“This is the beginning of a series of children’s books that we are, G-d willing, going to produce,” said Rabbi Zalman, “‘It’s Good to Know’ isn’t for adults only, but for children to know as well, and we need to share this with them through every available avenue.”
