Two Finalists In IBPA Book Awards Go To Chabad Authors, One Awarded Gold

The IBPA Benjamin Franklin “Shelter-In-Place” Award Ceremony took place this past week, streaming live on YouTube as the winners of the prestigious award were announced.

Of the four finalists in the religion category were two books authored on the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

Jewish Living Simply Explained won Silver in the contest. Authored by Rabbi Zalman Goldstein and Rabbi Michoel Seligson, the book summarizes dozens of core Chabad teachings that explain and inspire Jewish faith and observance. The content of the book is drawn from the vast body of works of the Rebbes of Chabad and inspires readers from all backgrounds.

Wisdom To Heal the Earth won Gold in the contest. Authored by Rabbi Tzvi Freeman, the book peers toward the Rebbe’s vision of a world towards which all humanity is headed, and demonstrates how the details of our everyday lives are vital, crucial, and today especially urgent in reaching that grand and ultimate destiny.
