NCFJE Takes Their Annual Lag B’Omer Celebration Online

One of the central themes of Lag B’Omer is for children to go out to parks and fields to celebrate the great Yomtov. For over 75 years, NCFJE has arranged annual Lag B’Omer outings and parades.

Due to the current circumstances, this year it will unfortunately not be possible to gather in the park. However, NCFJE is making up for it by putting together the most innovative program to date! As Rabbi Shimon Hecht put it, “Over the last couple of months we have made our homes into Batei Kneisiyos and Batei Midrashos, surely we can also make them into a park to celebrate Lag B’Omer.”

Although we will be at home, we will be connected with the Rashbi in Meiron and the Kosel via hook-up. Rabbis YY Jacobson and S.M. Rubashkin will join to give messages of inspiration to the children.

On the program is a beautiful video of highlights of the parades with the Rebbe, being made in conjunction with JEM, and a truly new concept of a virtual Jewish Trivia Game Show, featuring all the biggest Jewish stars like MBD, Benny Friedman, 8th Day, Boruch Sholom, Eli Marcus, Uncle Moishy, Mitzvah Boulevard and many more! Schools will compete and the winning school will receive a prize for all their students!

The program will be broadcast live on Chabad.org/Rally at 12pm on Lag B’Omer, Tuesday May 12. Make sure to tune in with your family!
