Chabad of Southwest Florida holds Purim Parties

Chabad Lubavitch of Southwest Florida under the leadership of Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz held Purim Megillah reading and party in Edison Mall for the Israeli store owners and employees by day, and a huge party at night for the Southwest Florida Jewish community.

The Purim event was also attended by Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz parents Rabbi Leima & Shoshana Minkowicz from New York, who were so impressed with Great Chabad Purim festivities.

In the spirit of Purim, the store owner gave gifts to all the ladies in attendance.

Here is a letter from a Woman that joined the Megilah reading and Purim party in the mall.

Dear Rabbi Minkowicz

By the way, and more importantly, today was really amazing. Ellen can’t stop talking about it. And I would love for you to relay something from me to the guy who gave us the products…. it was so lovely that he gave the body cream as a gift to all who came… but then I wanted to buy some stuff. I was looking for something for a specific purpose and was very happy to pay (and fully expected to pay) for the item. I know it isn’t cheap. Not the guy in the suit, but the other guy insisted it was a gift (I think you saw), I pleaded to pay, but with such a smile and joy he wouldn’t let me. And then, he gave the same item to Ellen.
Now, it’s not as if I couldn’t afford it, it’s not as if we were family or close friends… he was just giving a gift with such joy and happiness that I can’t get it out of my head. It just might be the nicest, kindest most genuine act of giving I’ve ever seen.
Please, please thank him for me. I don’t even know his name, but the impact he had on both of us is immeasurable. Such simcha, really amazing and inspiring!!!
