The 10th of Shevat marks the anniversary of the passing of the sixth Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson in 1950.
It also marks the day when exactly a year later, his son-in-law, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, officially accepted the mantle of leadership as the seventh Rebbe of Chabad.
