Descendants of the Alter Rebbe Gather in Yerushalayim

Hundreds of descendants of the Alter Rebbe converged on the Gutnick Hall in Yerushalayim on Motzei Shabbos for the annual gathering that’s held in honor of 24 Teves, the yahrtzeit of the Alter Rebbe.

The event is held by Iggud Tze’etzai Rabeinu Hazaken, an organization established almost 50 years ago that aims to connect the large numbers of descendants of the Alter Rebbe, and is led today by Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Halperin and Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Halperin.

The main speech was delivered by Harav Chaim Shalom Deitsch, who spoke about tefilla according to the teachings of the Alter Rebbe.

Each participant sat and wrote a pan to be delivered to the tziyun in Haditch and a raffle was held at the end of the farbrengen to choose a shliach to bring the panim on everyone’s behalf.
