Yaldei Hashluchim from around the world make time every day for Mishnayos Baal Peh, even in winter camp

Mishnayos Baal Peh competitions are a fixture in most yeshivos, with incentives, prizes and kinas sofrim to help motivate students to learn consistently towards their goal. But what about Yaldei Hashluchim who learn at home or online? Without the incentives and motivation inherent in a yeshiva program, getting inspired and making the time to learn Mishnayos Baal Peh can feel like an uphill battle.

Until MyShliach launched their Mishnayos Baal Peh program.

MyShliach MBP kicked off last year with it’s pilot program of 120 yaldei Hashluchim. Every participant has an online account where they log their learning, earn MBP dollars and buy prizes.

The one month program offers incentives for both lines and time learned, and raffles are held weekly for participants who learn five out of seven days of the week. This encourages participants to spend time every day learning either Tanya or Mishnayos Baal Peh.

Over 350 Yaldei Hashluchim are participating in the current program, which will end on Yud Shvat. A second round will iy’h begin after Pesach.

Yaldei Hashluchim from around the world are attending West Coast winter camp this week, but they didn’t put their Mishnayos Baal Peh learning on hold. MyShliach’s MBP program has joined them at camp with a special camp quota and exciting prizes just for these 8 days of learning.

“We wanted to go to camp because our MBP program is designed to encourage daily learning.” Says Rabbi Mendy Shanowitz of MyShliach. “The consistency of reviewing every day really helps the boys make the learning become a part of them.”

Rabbi Zalmy Kudan, director of the West Coast Tzeirei Hashluchim winter camp, weighed in on the double benefits of the program. “The Rebbe always encouraged campers to use their time to learn Baal Peh. This is a perfect opportunity for the boys to fulfill the Rebbe’s horoah. Camp is also all about campers getting inspiration to take back to their makom hashlichus and that goes for MBP also. Doing the program gets them excited to learn and they’ll get to take this great chayus home with them to continue on their own with MyShliach MBP.”

Campers received a special MBP welcome gift as well as additional prize incentives to master the extra camp quota of Perek Mem Alef Tanya. Each camper has an MBP account which will remain active when they return home, allowing them to continue to log lines and time and earn prizes through Yud Shvat.
