Rabbi Groner Farbrengs at Georgetown Chabad
Tuesday night, Chabad of Georgetown in Brooklyn, celebrated Yud Tes Kislev in a most exceptional way. The event, organized by Shliach Rabbi Avrohom Holtzberg, is one that takes place annually and is always an evening to remember. This year, the keynote speaker was the esteemed Rabbi Leibel Groner. Intrigued by the fact that one of the Rebbe’s personal secretaries was coming to share his personal encounters with the Rebbe, people flocked from all places nearby to be witness to this momentous occasion.
As a fully catered meal was being served, the crowd listened fascinated to the miraculous stories of the Rebbe. Stories that told of the faith, empathy and absolute dedication the Rebbe had. Being that Rabbi Groner was so close to the Rebbe every day for over forty years, some stories were ones no one has ever heard; firsthand experiences that Rabbi Groner recounted in rich detail. Not only did they listen to the stories but also the lessons from each, the ideology the Rebbe had and how precious every single Jew was to the Rebbe. Furthermore, how precious it was to the Rebbe when a Jew took upon themselves to start observing a Mitzva and what power it held.
Following, there was heartfelt singing of the Baal Hatanya’s Nigunim with the live music led by Rabbi Yossi Goldstein.
Everyone in attendance felt incredibly moved and agreed the evening left them feeling uplifted and filled with newfound inspiration.
