Lubavitch Educational Center Of Miami Holds Annual Family Melava Malka
Lubavitch Educational Center held their annual Family Melava Malka, bringing together hundreds of boys along with fathers, grandfathers and uncles on Tes and Yud Kislev. The program was none like ever before including a unique feature of “my lamplighter moment”.
The evening commenced with in depth learning on exactly what is and who qualifies to be a lamplighter. It was truly incredible to witness the scene of hundreds of boys of all ages learning together, unified.
The program continued with a melava malka meal while the boys enjoyed the screening of “my lamplighter moment”.
In it, the boys heard firsthand accounts of lives being changed and neshamos being lit up by a simple gesture of one yid to another. It showed how every single individual has the capabilities to be a lamplighter at any given moment, with priceless affects.
A thrilling fire show impressed the crowd, juggling and maneuvering the lights in remarkable arrangements, literally lighting up the room!
During the event, the boys heard from the head Shliach to Florida, Rabbi Avraham Korf as well as his son Rabbi Benjy Korf, executive director of Lubavitch Educational Center in Miami, Florida.
A special acknowledgement to the event coordinators Rabbi Chaim Schechter, Rabbi Zalmen Shimon Itkin, Mrs. Esti Boaz, and Mrs. Devorah Leah Evers, for creating this unforgettable event.
