Hollywood Players at Shabbat Dinner Launch in Old City of Jerusalem
Jerusalem, Israel — 3 Hollywood players were on hand along with 40 other guests from all over the world at the inaugural Shabbat Dinner at the Tzemach Tzedek Shul in the Old City of Jerusalem.
Brian Swarsdstorm, agent to such celebrities such as Edward Nornat and Kevin Bacon along with actor and film director Peter Spears joined Joan Hyler who manages Alfred Molina and Diane Lane among others, to launch this special Shabbat Dinner program in the Old City. Hyler, who over the years is becoming closer and closer to Yidishkeit through Rabbi Shlomo Schwartzie of the Chai Center in Los Angeles gave an intriguing talk on what it meant to be actively Jewish and balance that with being very active in the world of Hollywood.
The guests who attended enjoyed a delicious Shabbat Dinner while singing ancient Chassidic songs and hearing Torah insights from some of the participants and guest Rabbis.
Rabbi Yossi & Hindel Swerdlov who started this program were extremely satisfied with the first Shababt dinner and are looking forward to ongoing Shabbat Dinners with guests and celebrities the world over.

I was there with the Hollywood playa’s. The Rabbi made a great impression on me. It was a beautiful Friday night meal in the Old City. I encourage anyone going to Jerusalem to go there for a Friday night meal or at least stop in for a L’Chaim with Rabbi Swerdlov. Keep up the good work Rabbi and Rebbetzin.
