Kinus Torah with a Twist in North Miami Beach

Yeshivas Torah Ohr of North Miami Beach organized a Kinus Torah, following the directive of the Rebbe to increase in Torah study after the Yomtov of Shavuos. While it began as any other, this Kinus Torah turned into something very unique and special.

To start of the kinus, Senior Mashpia Rabbi Shmuel Mendelsohn shared a beautiful message about how Chasidus  deepens our perspective on Shavous and life in general. This was followed by a fascinating discussion about common Yomtov Halachic issues, led by the Yeshivah administrator Rabbi Immanuel Storfer. Then Rosh Yeshivah Rabbi Yisroel Geisinsky pointed out the significance of the day, before going on to analyze various details in the most important event in our History.

What followed next was quiet exceptional, as every single student and shliach participated by sharing a Torah insight or original idea, as well as some designated participant from the community who frequent the Yeshiva.  It was really special to hear them discuss various ideas related to Shavous the Parsha or the Talmud, as they turned the originally two hour program in to a full day event.

The successful event gave all the talmideim, some of whom have only been in Yeshiva for a few months, the opportunity to fulfill a directive of the Rebbe about the importance of Torah Study, especially after Shavuos.
