Spectacular night of Siyumim at YNS

Tzfas, Israel — What a way to end the zman!

It all started Purim at the Seuda when Hatamim Sruly Friedrich made a Siyum on Meseches Megillah. What a treat it was for him when his father flew in special from England to schep nachas from his son.

Two days after Purim the bochurim started gearing up for this spectacular night of Chof Beis Adar when Hatamim Moshe Borodken and Hatamim Mendy Hahn, both of Crown Heights, finished Meseches Makos. Hatamim Meir Roetter of Detroit and Hatamim Chananya Levy of London both finished Meseches Megillah.

The excitement and emotions of the boys and Rebbeim filled the zal when each bochur got up and expressed their thoughts about their own accomplishments. “I can’t believe I did it. I never thought I can do it”, said Moshe Borodken. Mendy Hahn followed by thanking the Rebbeim for getting him to where he is today. Then the tears started flowing when Chananya Levy told everyone that he did this l’zecher nishmas his sister A”H and he then spoke about her. He continued on in thanking the Rosh HaYeshiva, Rabbi Orimland and the Rebbeim for believing in him and stressed the point of never feeling this way anywhere else. Meir Roetter expressed his thanks to Rabbi ‘O’ and the staff for building up his self esteem like it has never been before.

The Rebbeim spoke about the great accomplishments of all the bochurim in the yeshiva, how everyone grew and progressed and became real mentschen. HaMadrich Moshe Benshimon also spoke about the great achievements of all the bochurim and the special care that Rabbi ‘O’ has for each and every bochur.

Before Rabbi ‘O’ presented seforim to the bochurim for their siyumim he began to speak but became too emotional. All he managed to say was that this evening proves the saying that “winners never quit and quitters never win!”

A couple more presentations were next. The first, a leather Hagaddah was given to Hatamim Shmuely Coleman of London for being the most improved bochur of the zman. Next was a special gift presentation to Moshe Borodken for not only learning the entire Meseches Makos but for also keeping his Yud Tes Kislev hachlotah of knowing the Mesechta Shakleh V’Tarya Ba’al Peh! What a nachas!! Then came a presentation of a sefer to Hatamim Naftoli Lieder of Crown Heights for his tremendous help this zman and to Hatamim Zalmi Orimland for always being there whenever needed. And finally the evening was topped off with a set of seforim presented to Habochur Hatamim HaMadrich Moshe Benshimon for an unbelievable job of making an impact on the lives of each and every bochur at the yeshiva!

The next day the bochurim were treated to a day of bowling followed by a bbq at Rabbi ‘O’s.

    I am so proud of you, you keep doing such amazing things, it’s unbelievable. Choosing to learn extra on your own is an accomplishment in itself, but actually doing it and making a siyum is really something out of this world. You are really giving Mommy, Tatty, your friends and family, the Rebbe and of course Hashem so much nachas. You deserve all the brachos, and I wish you only continued hatzlacha both in your learning and in your life in general. Mechayil el Chayil, and you will be a chayal, a chossid, yarei shamayim and and lamdan. I hope you are enjoying your new camera and mp3 player, you really deserve them. I only wish I could give you more. Take care little bro, and continue doing those things I wouldn’t do, (like making siyumim and putting on tefillin lol). You make us so proud.

    As a parent, I can attest to the unbelievable job that this Yeshiva is doing. The dedication of Rabbi Orimland as the dedication of Moishe Benshimon (the madrich) is truly admirable. Their ability to drive their students to success is accomplished in a way I have not seen another Yeshiva do… Kol Hakavod Rabbi O and Moishe BenShimon.
