6th Sefer Torah for Jewish Children Completed
With much fanfare, the sixth Sefer Torah for Jewish children was completed in Jerusalem, in a joyous celebration adjacent to the Western Wall.
The first Sefer Torah for Jewish children was begun in 1981 after the Rebbe launched a campaign that all Jewish children should have a letter written in a Sefer Torah on their behalf.
Since then, close to two million letters have been written on behalf of Jewish children of all walks of life, from all over the world.
The Siyum was attended by many prominent Rabbonim, Admorim, Roshei Yeshiva, politicians and community leaders.
