Sitka, AK — With Yud-Aleph Nissan just a month away; giving a gift to the Rebbe is on every chossid's mind. Over 25 years ago, the Rebbe began a push that the Tanya be printed in any location where there is even one Jew. Ever since, Tanyas have been printed globaly, in nearly every city. The Rebbe explains that by printing; one accomplishes that not only are the “wellsprings” spread everywhere, but that the city itself, becomes a wellspring of its own (Lukkutei Sichos vol. 26).

Sitka, AK — With Yud-Aleph Nissan just a month away; giving a gift to the Rebbe is on every chossid’s mind. 26).

Most cities have been covered world-wide, but the outermost places still leave room for printing. Two bachurim, Pinchas Taylor and Berel Brafman, were sent to Sitka, Alaska to give some of the first authentic Jewish experiences to its estimated 30-50 Jews. The team printed 105 copies of the Tanya in that location, in honor of the Rebbe’s upcoming birthday. The Rebbe directed that the Tanya actually be learned in the place that it was printed; so the two learned chapter 32, and commited to have a fabrengen following tainis Esther. This will hopefully be adding to the scale of merit, that will tilt the entire world to becoming a place which reveals G-dliness, with the coming of Moshiach immediately.
