BCM Students Remember Classmate One Year On

Pesach Sheini marks the first yahrtzeit of Chaya Spalter, OBM, a student of Bais Chaya Mushka of Los Angeles. The girls of BCM have been honoring her memory in a variety of ways, including shiurim, a Hakhel with their mothers, and a very special, meaningful rooftop ceremony.

Beforehand, each girl chose a dedicated mitzvah to do in honor of Chaya. They wrote down their mitzvah, and then went on the roof of the school and sent them up to the sky with balloons.

It was a beautiful sight, and very moving for everyone present.
