Young-Yeshivah Hosts Moroccan Chanukah
This past Tuesday evening, about 100 young men and women from Melbourne’s Young-Yeshivah community gathered for a Moroccan-themed Chanukah celebration.
Young-Yeshivah is a satellite community of Melbourne’s Yeshivah Centre, and caters for singles, couples and families ranging from the not-yet-twenties through the past-thirties.
The event was an incredible evening of great energy with delicious food, beautiful ambiance and great guests. Opening remarks and thanks were delivered by one of the event organizers, Srolic Barber. Following him was a presentation by Stan Gordon, who described the ups and downs of his entrepreneurial journey and his simultaneous spiritual journey. Rabbi Shmuel Lesches then spoke about the symbolism of oil for Chassidus and the Alter Rebbe’s second release from imprisonment.
Young-Yeshivah thanks its committee members for all their hard work and dedication: Srolic Barber, Dan Goldhirsch, Avi Gordon, Eli Herbst, Yossi Herbst, Moshe Loebenstein, Shimon Susskind, Shterna Adelist and Chana Douek.
