In honor of the upcoming 200th Yohrtziet of the Alter Rebbe the entire Shulchon Aruch and Tanya was divided up between Bochurim who together will be completing its study by Chof Daled Teves. Some 600 Bochurim are participating!
The idea for such a ‘chaluka’ came from the Sicha of the Rebbe said marking 150 years to the Alter Rebbes passing, in which the Rebbe strongly encouraged it.
Taking on this initiative was the Hanhala of the Central Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim, especially Reb Yoel Kahan who was assisted by Hatomim Yakov Yosef Raskin.
