Israeli Knesset Salutes Rebbe and Chabad

In anticipation of Gimmel Tammuz, the Israeli Knesset hosted Chabad Rabbonim, Shluchim and community leaders from across the country for a special session, in which they saluted the Lubavitcher Rebbe and the movement he inspired.

The session was addressed by several Knesset Members and ministers from across the political spectrum, alongside Israel’s chief rabbinate and other prominent Rabbonim.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was originally scheduled to address the event, but had to cancel at the last minute due to internal Likud elections that took place earlier in the day. Instead, he viewed a gallery of photos of the Rebbe and the work of Chabad that was set up in the premises of the Knesset in honor of the occasion.
