  • Radical or Truth?? u decide!!

    Oy vey!!!!!

We must all do all in power to stop these tragedies!!!!!!!!!!!

althought the Rebbe almodst always refrained from justifying G-d’s actions in tragedy
non the less the Rebbeh attributed unexpected calamities in our midst SPECIFICALLY
    TO lack of Tsnius!!
    ….. .,.
yes as uncharacteristic of the Rebbeh to attribute specific causes to calamity & tragedy, re Tznius the Rebbeh took no chances & MADE THESE CONNECTIONS VERY VERY CLEAR – in the interest of protecting our community from harms-way!!!

  • Oy! H!!!- Kol Yisroel Arevim Zeh LaZeh!!

    Oish!!!!

we must all do things to regain Hashem’s protection to our community

since our actions have an impact on our entire kehilah!!

    Ad mosai!!

  • bde!! #2 is correct! we must STOP THIS!

thanks for channeling us in a direction so that we can DO SOMETHING to stop these tragedies to our Machaneh!

    fyi:

its not just the Rebbeh who links specifically Tznius to Protection

many mefarshim on the Pasuk “VeHayu Machanecha Kadosh” explain it the same way

that Hashem doesn’t punish but rather REMOVES his protection from a group that has in it’s midst the opposite of Modesty

similar to Mezuza being pasul = its not a punishment, its a natural affect of not having Hashem’s protection R”L

  • SAD BUT TRUE

    sad

it is hard and dificult to say this. but it must be said.

the Rebbe said numerous times that what happenes “here” reflects on what happnes in eretz hakoidesh.

the fact that many pepole and schluchim can not walk safely and freely in 770 including leaders and pepole who were put by the rebbe in postions of moisdois, this fact means that we have a lot of work to do on our end.

isnt it odd that after many years of rockets the first time anyone was killed as a direct result of a rocket were members of Anash? and on the yortzeit of holtzberg.

    think about it.

    #1, YES

#2: AGREED however, you cannot be inside someone’s brain and neshama to be machlit on their actions. Work on yourself in areas where you can make a difference and pray that you are a positive example. We can all try to encourage tznius to improve, but ……..lets be practical, we cannot force them to think in that way. There have to be other ways. One of them is to have ahavas yisroel and hold back our loshon hara, and offer support and help to neighbors and those we are in contact with.

  • Can-t we SEE?!

3 Lubavitchers, including a Shlucha in India, are killed on Rosh Chodesh Kislev, on the 4th Yahrtzeit of Gabi and Rivky Holtzberg and the other Kedoshim!

If we don’t believe in Hashem, then we can just close our eyes and consider it ‘fate’.

We do believe in Hashem (we do, right?), isn’t this clearly directed from above?! Hashem demands that we take notice! It’s not just “another” tragedy.

Frankly, I’m shocked that in the face of such clear Gzeiras Hashem, in many places they are not even mentioning her Shlichus work in India! I’m a Shliach and I see the established mosdos as playing an important role, but when we have such clear, burning signs from above, we must unite and realize that there are much bigger things at play here.

If this doesn’t immediately bring to a big hisorerus, a massive, collective cheshbon hanefesh (on many issues), then we are extremely mistaken. We are closing our eyes. And can not bode well for us, r“l. This needs to come from both grassroots, but also from people at ”the top”.

Every time there is a need for a true Hisorerus, and self examination, there are always those who throw up walls and pour kalte vasser. Don’t listen to them. That is Maaseh Sot-n. It is a clear Halacha, and the Rebbe has mentioned this too, that when something like this happens it obligates us to take a serious accounting!

  • Thinkster

To #2 and #5 – don’t you people dare try to attribute these tragedies to any specific cause. It’s the same kind of rubbish spouted by those that think they can justify the Holocaust.

Tznius doesn’t kill people. Terrorism kills people. And I think the Rebbe would be disappointed to hear people making comments like you’ve made.

  • agreed with #2

re unity, most of the dis-unity is a lot more noise than reality 99% of chabad are too bizzy to participate in these childish games by ha (noisy) handful of mecharchevei riv
    ….. .,.
the reality is that Ahavas Chinum is always a segula

but lets not forget that Dressing modestly = Ahavas Chinum since it prevents Tragedies like THESE R”L

Tznius brings Hashem’s protection & blessings to all memebers of a community! what greater act of Chesed & Ahavas yisroel to dress in a manner that helps an entire community have Hashem’s brachos & protection etc etc

  • say the truth w/o judging the person

    re #2
your surely correct for bringing perspective from our “Moshe” since Moshe Rabeinu is Hashem’s mouth peice
however, you must be careful not to judge those who struggle with the YH of immodesty despite what Torah teaches it causes to a community’s protection from above!

try to say Judge the act without judging the person doing the wrong act

this is the way chasidus teaches us,

hate the sin not the sinner!

  • ONE CHABAD NOW !!! ENOUGH is ENOU

we are ONE and we must ALWAYS ACT as ONE.

    ONE KINUS, ONE GOAL,ONE FAMILY.

    on rosh chodesh kislev!
just after the kinnus hashluchim !!!

“kinnus” is supposed to mean GATHERING the means ALL AS ONE! (in ONE banquet hall)

are we really acting as one? One BADATZ one KINNUS?

ONE and NOT TWO R“L (mishichist and anti mshichist)

    One UNITED BADATZ !
    one UNITED KINNUS !
    one UNITED FAMILY !

    1. The Mumbai Murders on rosh chodesh kislev!
    2. Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin a lubavitcher is WRONGLY convicted on the first anniversary of the Mumbai INDIA murders. on rosh chodesh kislev!
    3. Lubavitchers including a shlucha from INDIA are murdered. on rosh chodesh kislev!

    Hello!?

    NO MORE Mishichistin
    NO MORE Anti-Mishichisten

we must be ONE with ONE HEART! doing ”ALL WE CAN TO BRING MOSHIACH NOW“

the Rebbe told us to PUBLICIZE that we must ”get ready for the imminent arrival of moshiach”

    ====== THATS IT.!!! =====

the rebbe demands that we have ahavas yisroel. it cant be that there is any place what so ever! for any division etc…. hashem yirachem!!!

    NO MORE Mishichistin
    NO MORE Anti-Mishichisten
    WE MUST BE ONE %100

    Practically that means that :
    1. Each and every one of us does not do things (no matter how “holy”) that bring division into our hearts.
    2. We respect each other and we must work TOGETHER AS ONE.

“LOVE YOUR FELLOW AS YOURSELF” is a fundamental torah commandment.
to scream “yechi” or not “yechi” are just different opinions of good intentioned people.

so think for one second! whats more important !?

    BARCHEINU AVINU KULANI K’ECHAD

the only vessel for Hashem’s blessings is PEACE.

we are ONE and we must ACT as ONE.

    == ONE KINUS=== ONE GOAL====ONE FAMILY.
brothers and sisters! ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!

AD MOSHAI !!! how long will it take us to understand that we must be ONE?! (no matter how right we think we are!)

ONE CHABAD NOW !!! ENOUGH is ENOUGH!! MOSHIACH NOW!!!!!

  • tipshim shebetipshim

I couldnt agree better than with #2. idiots stop justifying gods way. If tznius was the probem than the rockets should just burn iff the clothes, not the neshoma . Its because of people like you we suffer, go and say tehilim, put on tefilin with people. And use your brains for smart things.

  • Our Celebration turned into Tragedy!

Rosh Chodesh, the same day that the our Rebbe’s HEART was healed.

is the same day of the MUBAI TRAGEDY of murders, including Pregnant Rivki holtzberg a shlucha in India.

is the same day that Lubavitchers in israel are murdered, including Pregnant Mira Scharf, a shlucha from India

    Our Celebration turned into Tragedy!

we need to fix our HEART.

    we need AHAVAS YISRAEL NOW!
    Moshiach NOW!

  • MaidofCH

So many tragedies . . . the killings in Eretz Yisroel; the loss or damage or 24 Chabad Houses in the hurricane. Hashem is definitely sending us messages.

  • Danielle Sarah Storch

when we are attacked, and when floods make people in New York and New Jersey homeless, we are FORCED to do acts of Ahavas Yisrael. Let’s not be forced!

  • We should all read these books about

    Sh’lemus Ha’aretz

“Silence is a sin” or “Korati v’ein oneh”

  • There are no good explanations!!!

Why does everyone must attribute a reason for a tragedy? It happened because G-d wanted it to happen. Period.

  • #20 the Rebbe disagrees with ur attitiud

the Rebbe knows (if anyone does, how to gain or loose G=-d’s protection for a community!

just like mezuzos neing pasul doesnt mean the loss of protection is a punishement, rather having Kosher mezuzos gains protection

same with tznius, the Rebbe explained that hashem’s protection leaves R“L when its chased away by public immodesty

this impacts the entire ”Machane” not just the individual’s personal brachos in their private life
we need to trust that the Rebbe knows his stuff!!

  • true there are no good explanations

however where the Rebbe specifically said there are things we in NY (& Chutz-Laaretz) can do to prevent blood shed & tragedies like these from re-occurring, we need to take his words seriously!

its for our own well being that the Rebbe alerted us as to WHAT WE CAN DO to stop such things & instead bring all sorts of blessings to our family & communities:

    1. Daily Chitas Rambam (even 5min is better than nothing)
    2. Regular du“ch ch”hn to Aseh Lecha Rav (personal mentor)
    3. Make time daily to be involved in the chinuch of your kids (30min minimum)
    4. Hidur in Taharas Hamishpach & laws of Modesty
    5. Give Tzedaka daily,
    ….. .,.
we know the Rebbe can be trusted as Tachlis HoEmes!

  • #22 well said!

we all need to refocus on the specific instructions handed down to us by our Rebbeh to have a prosperous and safe journey here on earth

  • to#20

we need to trust that the Rebbe knows his stuff!

You can’t think for yourself. Are you taught what to think or how to think?
