Shloshim Ceremony for Copenhagen Terror Victim

Four European Union commissioners – of economy, law, taxes and education, the Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium and representatives of over 20 European countries participated in a ceremony held at the European synagogue to commemorate the Shloshim of 37-year-old Dan Uzan, who was killed by an Islamic terrorist while guarding a synagogue in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The event was organized by Rabbi Menachem Margolin, President of the European Jewish Association (EJA) and the EJCC in Brussels, Belgium. Mr. Joel Mergui, president of the Jewish Consistory of France, also participated in the event.

Mr. El Jabri Niddal, organizer of the circle of 1,000 people of all faiths who surrounded the synagogue in Copenhagen after the attack, received a medal in recognition for his outstanding work.

Mr. Uzan, father of the victim, was present, as well as the father of the girl celebrating her Bat Mitzvah in the synagogue at the time of the attack.

Rabbi Margolin demanded from the politicians that they do everything they can so that Jews truly feel safe everywhere in Europe.

    Why don’t they wear hats at these events? The non Jewish delegates there know they are rabbis. They should like rabbis with hats. Don’t try to play both worlds.
