Vice President Extends Rosh Hashanah Blessings

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden invited about 75 rabbis and Jewish leaders to his private home in the nation’s capital, where he wished them a blessed new year. Rabbi Avraham Shmtov, head of Agudas Chasidei Chabad, and his son Rabbi Levi Shemtov, Shliach to Washington D.C., were among the distinguished guests.

“There is no difference between the positions of the United States and Israel regarding the Iranian nuclear crisis,” Mr. Biden told those gathered.

The vice president also wished the younger Rabbi Shemtov a hearty Mazal Tov on the recent Bar Mitzvah celebration of his son Eli.

I’ve seen the original photo. If these Chabad Rabbis find it acceptable to pose for a photo between VP Biden and his wife, CH Info should follow their example and print the entire photo.
