10 Lubavitcher Dayonim Ordained in Israel

On Wednesday, Chai Elul, an unprecedented event took place in Rechovot, Israel: Ten Lubavitcher yungelight received certification to be Dayonim (“Yodin Yodin”).

These yungelight were tested in the Rabbanut of Israel on Shulchan Aruch Even Ha’ezer (Yuchsin, Agunah, Kiddushin, Gitin etc.) and Choshen Mishpat (Monetary issues).

The Smicha was given by Horav Hagaon Tzion Boaron Shlit“a, Av Beis Din of the Beis Din hagadol in Yerushlaim, Horav Hagaon Shlomo Tam Shlit”a, Av Beis Din in Tel Aviv, and Harav Hagaon Meir Aharon Shlit”a, the Rosh Kollel L’Horah Vl’Dayanut, ‘Ohr Yaakov’, in Rechovot.

At the event, Rabbi Meir Ahron announced the opening of a new ‘Beis Hora’ah’ under his auspices, which will answer on questions from Shluchim and Anash in Eretz Yisroel and from all over the world on all issues of the four parts of Shulcan Aruch.

The new Dayonim are: Rabbi Yisroel Halperin, Rabbi Chaim Hillel Raskin, Rabbi Avraham Meir Rabinowitz, Rabbi Eliyahu Kirshenbaum, Rabbi Mordechai Rifkind, Rabbi Yitzhak Cohen, Rabbi Yehuda Leib Nachmenson, Rabbi Yosef Gold, Rabbi Natan Gelbshtein and Rabbi Alexander Drori.

These Rabbonim–Dayonim will be Members of the New ‘Beis Hora’ah’ under the leadership of Rabbi Ahron.
