“Everybody please rise for the Rebbe's Letter.” Students have probably heard this sentence at graduations all over the world this past week. However at the graduation ceremony for students attending the Nigri International Shluchim Online School, when the students stood there was no scraping of chairs. One student stood in Ukraine. One stood in Denmark. One stood in Australia. Girls from all over the world stood up to hear the Rebbe's letter.

“Everybody please rise for the Rebbe’s Letter.” Students have probably heard this sentence at graduations all over the world this past week. However at the graduation ceremony for students attending the Nigri International Shluchim Online School, when the students stood there was no scraping of chairs. One student stood in Ukraine. One stood in Denmark. One stood in Australia. Girls from all over the world stood up to hear the Rebbe’s letter.
This week, the European division of the school celebrated the graduation of their 8th grade girls with a beautifully planned program for the end of the year.
The graduation was attended – online, of course – by the girls, their parents and siblings, grandparents and teachers.
This year’s graduation theme was based upon a Sicha of the Rebbe, ‘To be near, move far,’ (see video below) which was beautifully addressed by graduating student Mushky Levitansky, on shlichus in Sumy, Ukraine.
Mrs. Namdar, shlucha in Denmark, Sweden and parent of one of the graduates, addressed the girls on the importance of always being Besimcha, and instilled in them a pride of being Yaldei Hashluchim. The girls were then presented with their virtual diplomas by their principal Mrs. Gitty Rosenfeld, who wished the girls success in the next stage of life as high school girls.
A recurring theme mentioned by parents, teachers and students alike was the fact that – despite or possibly even because of the webcam and microphones – the Shluchim Online School is unique in how every student LOVES ‘coming to school’ every day.
The Shluchim Office would like to wish Mazal Tov to the 8th grade girls and their families: Mushkie Loewenthal – Copenhagen, Denmark; Chanchi Namdar – Gothenburg, Sweden; Shterna Sara Gurevitch – Gold Coast, Australia; Esther Wineberg – Cape Town, South Africa; Mushky Levitansky – Sumy, Ukraine; Bassie Barash – Prague, Czech Republic.
