Oholei Torah Announces ‘Talmidim HaShluchim’

Oholei Torah has released a list of 160 bochurim who will be going on ‘Shlichus’ to 39 Yeshivos and communities around the globe.

Rabbi Elchonon Lesches, Dean of the Beis Medrash Oholei Torah, noted that the list’s release coincides with Yud Tes Tammuz, the day on which in 5728 (1968) the Rebbe farbrenged and said a Maamor on this day and called it the “Yom HaBris” of the Frierdiker Rebbe.

“There are 160 bochrim ka”h going to all corners of the globe,” he said. “Most of these bochurim were born in the year of Gimmel Tammuz, and this is the strongest indication of Zaroi baChayim. There were many obstacles at the start, and the Rebbe’s Brochos were clearly evident at every turn. I would like to specifically thank Rabbi Avraham Gerlitsky and Rabbi Nachman Shapiro, who both worked night and day to find appropriate places for every single bochur,” he said.

Rabbi Joseph Rosenfeld, Executive Director of Oholei Torah, and Rabbi Sholom Rosenfeld, Director, wish the bochurim Haltzlocha Rabba on their shlichus, and that they be maifitz Torah and Chassidus with that special chayos unique to Oholei Torah, the first yeshiva founded by the Rebbe.
