Camp Emunah Dedicates 4 New Bunk Houses

This Sunday, the 15th of Tammuz, marks 57 years since the Lubavitcher Rebbe took time out of his busy schedule to visit the girls at Camp Emunah B’nos Yaakov Yehudah in Greenfield Park, NY. On this day the camp dedicated four brand new bunk houses.

Rabbi Zalmen and Chaya Seema Friedman, the camps Ruchnius Directors, have spent the past few days teaching the girls at camp about the importance and uniqueness of a mezuzah as well as the special zchus the girls at Camp Emunah have to be enjoying summer after summer on camp grounds with such a rich history

Rebbetzin Chave Hecht has been serving as the camp’s Director since it was established some 63 years ago and remembers the Rebbes visit to camp well:

“The Rebbe spoke at that time about the fact that the Orach Chayim Hakadosh whose yartzeit is today, only had daughters and wrote a special sefer for them” and with a smile on her face  “I feels proud and privileged to be the co-founder of the very first Chabad overnight girls camp – which today just as then is pioneering true Chassidishe camping through the guidance of our Rebbe.”

Rebbitzen Hecht was honored to hammer in the nails of the Mezuzah for the first of the 4 new bunk houses.
