Lubavitcher Panelist at Lakewood Business Seminar

An event titled ‘Finance Your Business’ took place Monday night in the Orthodox-Jewish community of Lakewood, New Jersey, at which a few panelists shared their business acumen with several dozen of the community’s budding entrepreneurs. One of the four panelists was Crown Heights’ Yankie Markowitz, CEO of SBA Loan Group.

The event, which took place Monday evening, June 23rd, was organized by the Lakewood Community Service Corporation, an organization that provides local small businesses with resources to expand their operations and obtain financing for further growth. Over 70 people were in attendance.

The purpose of the event was to provide information to local professionals and entrepreneurs on how to acquire financing through the various channels available, in order to help them grow their businesses.

Crown heights businessman Yankie Markowitz addressed the gathering, and afterwards took questions from the crowd. He spoke about his company, SBA Loan Group, which is a loan packaging and underwriting company that provides financing and funding solutions for small businesses – from $50,000 to $5,000,000 – to help them grow.

He carefully explained to the entrepreneurs what needs to be said and done in order to obtain such loans, as well as which strategies work and which don’t.

He also spoke about how a small business can obtain unsecured financing (a loan without collateral backing it), which banks are usually very hesitant to give.

In a conversation with CrownHeights.info following the event, Eli Josephson, Director of Small Business Services at the LCSC, said “the event was very successful. Our goal of offering support and information to help grow these young entrepreneurs’ businesses was surely achieved.”
