Ottawa Shabbaton Rejuvenates Mesivta Bochurim
This past weekend, a select group of Bochurim in Shiur Gimmel of Mesivta Lubavitch-Toronto was rewarded with a Shabbaton to the city of Ottawa, where they were hosted by the Teitelbaum family.
Leaving in the wee hours of Friday morning, they arrived with ample time to learn Chassidus, go to the Mikvah, Daven, and enjoy an array of activities, including a tour of the Canadian parliament, high court and mint.
They were also treated to a tour of a local lollipop manufacturing company by its Mashgiach – Rabbi Teitelbaum.
Over Shabbos, the students Farbrenged with the local community, from after Shacharis until it was time to Daven Maariv. Many community members were amazed at the Davening and Chassidishkeit which the Bochurim displayed.
On Sunday, they traveled to Gatineau National Park, where they enjoyed a strenuous hike, magnificent views, stunning waterfalls and wildlife. They then returned to their hosts to enjoy a barbecue, before heading back to Yeshiva filled with inspiration.
A special thank you goes to Avraham Edery and the Teitelbaum family, who helped make the Mivtza and the trip a fantastic success.
The Mivtza was organized Le’ilui Nishmas Rafi Kaskansky – Refoel ben Aryeh Leib, OBM - and L’zchus Sholom Mordichai haLevi ben Rivkah.
