10 Schools Join Together for Lag Ba’omer Unity Event

Chabad Youth Network of Florida organized a phenomenal unity event. The event was held at Dezer Car Museum in North Miami, where ten schools and over 1500 students from south Florida joined together in unity.

As the students, parents, and teachers entered, they marveled at the stage set up which was built on top of a pink stretched Mercedes convertible and surrounded by a balloon arch. Each school was greeted as they arrived and guided to their designated area.

Rabbi Shmuly Gutnick welcomed everyone. Each school’s name was announced and the crowd clapped and cheered in response. There was a tremendous feeling of unity in the room. Rabbi G. then introduced Rabbi Chay Amar, who shared a few inspiring words on Lag B’omer. Students representing their schools proudly stood on stage and recited the twelve pesukim. The dancing clowns made the crowd laugh and cheer by doing flips and somersaults.

Rabbi G. then performed a fun juggling and balloon show, even teaching the kids how to create a bow and arrow with a balloon. The very talented Jewish star Yisroel Amar entertained the crowd with his incredible singing.

Chips and water were distributed as the children watched in fascination as the Miami Extreme Team performed the most amazing basketball stunts, flips and dunks. The crowd went wild as they jumped and flipped over a few brave volunteers and dunked the basketball through the hoop!

At the conclusion of the event a grand raffle took place, where a few lucky winners got to take home some great prizes. Everyone received a balloon to take home, as well as a dime to give to tzedaka.
