Memorial to Rebbe’s Murdered Brother Defaced
A memorial to the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s younger brother, R’ Dovber Shneerson, OBM, who was murdered by the Nazis YMS in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, was defaced with swastikas – the latest in a string of anti-Semitic incidents in the pro-Russian eastern half of the country.
Rabbi Moshe Weber, a Shliach in Dnepropetrovsk, discovered the graffiti and said that it appears to be recent, according to the Jewish Daily Forward.
Several other anti-Semitic incidents have been reported in the region since the overthrow of the Kremlin-backed government in Kiev in late February, including the firebombing of two Chabad-affiliated synagogues.
