Vaad Chooses New Niggun for Rebbe’s Birthday

From a record 28 songs submitted to the committee assigned to select a niggun in honor of Yud Aleph Nissan, the one composed by Rabbi Berel Pashter, Mashpia in Yeshiva of Brunoy, France, was chosen to be the Rebbe’s birthday niggun for 5772.

The Vaad consisted of R’ Mendel Schneersohn, R’ Zalman Baumgarten, R’ Mendel Reitzes and R’ Feitel Levin.

    WHY oh WHY do they need to put yechi into everything? It’s an obsession. Aren’t they bored of it by now? Personally, I wasn’t sure of how I felt about this whole niggun committee but once I heard the yechi, that clinched it for me.

    Why choose a song with words that are against what the rebbe wanted??? And this is what the vaad decided??? Brochshtats biggun is perfect.

    i got lost in the middle, there were some words in the song that i didnt see in the tehilim

    I am shocked that Yechi was inserted in the song and accepted. I don’t mind Yechi, but the powers that be have a far different opinion.

    why is there a news paper on the table or even in the room where their doing it shame on all of you besides from the yechi part its a discrase what their doing picking a choosing whats important to them on the one hand they just stick in yechi for no reason and ill bet you the rebbe will not agree to that and on the other hand they have a news paper sitting there on the table who even knows what was in there that day with all the non tsnieis pictures and what else is in there all im saying is that these people are mixed up badly!!!!

    Beautiful. Yehi rotzon that we will see the Rebbe ..neshoma b’guf and we will sing this song with the Rebbe proudly with Yechi as we sang Yechi with the Rebbe

    To number 7 Ugh! yechi .. Aren’t they bored? No we are not. Are you bored of saying Shema every day and night. Someone who can write such sinaas chinum comment. Now you know why Moshiach is not here yet. How painful
