Chicago’s Head Shliach Inspires Moscow Community
The head Shliach to Chicago and the state of Illinois, Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz, arrived in Moscow last weekend for a brief but impactful visit.
Rabbi Moscowitz was invited to Russia’s capital by the country’s chief rabbi, Berel Lazar, to Farbreng with the members of the community and the students of the local educational institutions.
Rabbi Moscowitz led several Farbrengens during his brief stay, both over Shabbos and on Motzei Shabbos, with separate events for the members of broader community, the N’shei Chabad and the students of the Yeshiva, the Machon and the boys’ and girls’ elementary schools.
He also took the opportunity to visit the Jewish Museum adjacent to Chabad headquarters, where the Seforim belonging to Agudas Chasidei Chabad are slowly being transferred to by the Russian government.
