25 Foreign Diplomats Attend Holocaust Memorial

Marking the International Holocaust Remembrance Day Monday at the Jewish Heritage Museum in Moscow were 25 foreign diplomats, who paid tribute to the Jewish victims of the Nazis on the day the Soviet Red Army liberated Auschwitz in 1945.

The Museum is located next door to the headquarters of Chabad-Lubavitch of Moscow, the Marina Roshcha Synagogue, under the leadership of Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar.

According to an agreement with the Russian government, the museum will soon be home to the contentious library of Agudas Chasidei Chabad, which was confiscated from the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe by the Germans during during WWII and subsequently captured by the Russians.
