Rabbi Gordon Makes Daily Rambam Easy and Fun

The annual Rambam learning cycle has just begun a new and there is an easy and fun new way to keep up with the one-chapter-a-day of the Rambam’s Mishnah Torah.

For over three years, Rabbi Yehoshua B. Gordon, Director of Chabad of the Valley, has been teaching the world’s biggest daily Torah study class, a Chumash and Tanya class that is watched by thousands daily on Chabad.org. Now, with the help of the dedicated technical and editorial staff of Chabad.org, Rabbi Gordon has begun to pursue a new goal: to teach the entire Mishneh Torah each day according to the daily study schedule of Rambam.

Rabbi Gordon already distinguished himself with the monumental achievement of teaching all of the daily lessons of Chumash and Tanya, and has won a huge international following for his articulate, knowledgeable, and funny style. To date his classes have been viewed more than 542,000 times at his daily study page on the Chabad.org video site Jewish.TV. This marked the first time that the entire Chumash and Tanya, for both regular and leap years, had ever been recorded on video. Now, Rabbi Gordon has set his sights on Mishneh Torah.

Rabbi Gordon officially announced his new goal of recording the entire Mishneh Torah at the Global Online Siyum HaRambam on March 4. The class has been airing daily on Rabbi Gordon’s own page Jewish.TV/RabbiGordon. He has even been recording the shiurim for Shabbos on Friday so that viewers will not miss a day.

Chabad.org has also made the class compatible for the iPhone/iPad/iPod so you can listen on the go.

The following comment was posted by a fan of the class yesterday online, “Once again Rabbi Gordon reaches into his endless bag of energy… Never has it been easier and more enjoyable to learn Rambam than now with Rabbi Gordon. Rabbi Gordon is doing his part. Now all that remains is that we do our part and study every day.”
