Montreal Anash Celebrate ‘Triple’ Siyum Harambam
On Monday night the Lubavitch kehilah in Montreal gathered to celebrate a “triple” Siyum Harambam: the 30th completion of the Rambam for 3 chapters a day, the 10th for 1 chapter a day, and the completion of the Sefer Hamitzvos.
Rabbi Shmuel Kramer emceed the event, opening with a Dvar Malchus – a Hadran on the Rambam from the Rebbe.
A siyum on Sefer Hamitzvos was recited by Sholom Dovber Raskin, great grandchild of Rabbi Yitzchok Hendel OBM, whose yahrzeit was yesterday, 12 Adar.
Afterwards, the chief rabbi of Montreal, Rabbi Yonasan Weiss was called upon to give over a few words, followed by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Leib Kaplan, who delivered a Hadran
Also delivering words of inspiration were: Rabbi Berel Bell, Chabad Rov of Montreal; Rabbi Shmuel Butman, head of Lubavitch Youth Organization and Global Siyum Harambam; and Rabbi Yochanan Vozner, Rov of Skverer kehilah in Montreal.
The event was followed by a chassidishe farbrengen, which lasted into the late hours of the night.
