Imagine if Lazar, instead of Mordechai, had been the one to deal with Homon.

We would be fasting the 13th and the 14th of Adar, if we would even be here to fast.

I guess I need new glasses. I was sure that was one of the Neturei Karta clowns meeting with Ahmadinejad.

  • Russia

I visited Russia in the past year. What is going on there as far as Yiddishkeit defies imagination. Mosdos, people, Shluchim…

Lazar and, Lehavdil, Putin have a lot to be proud of.

They have brought the Rebbe’s sweat, tears, and nevius into reality.

Yes, Russia makes trouble in relation to the Middle East. But Yiddishkeit within Russia is alive and well! And Anti-Antisemitism is almost non-existent.

  • Shliach in Russia

I agree with comment 3, actually the funny thing is: whenever I visit America I am reminded that antisemitism still exist, Thanks to Putin, all the Jew haters in Russia are hiding in their holes, being a believer and church goer, Putin gives all religious leaders a special say in governmental policies, I am a shliach in a small town, I am often summoned to government meetings on social issues so they can hear what the Rabbi’s opinion!

Yes, any shaliach in Russia must tout the party line. I’ve been to Russia too and I know the real story.

  • Stop being so black and white!

It is possible to do good things and bad things as a person, and a shliach is no different, and is held to the same standards. I wish you sycophant shluchim worshipers would stop looking at it in Black and White. Lazar did a lot of good work and Putin help put them in place. No one is saying that Putin is an antisemite. HOWEVER, when you do supply weapons to Syria and Iran you do indirectly kill Jews or at least put them in danger. Putin does not have the intention to kill Jews, but is still doing so in the process. Therefore is it worth it to identify or have solidarity to a Russian government that may bring about the decimation of Israel. This is something to think about.

  • agree with # 3

As a shliach in russia, lazar is an amazing person, he has true mesiras nefesh for the Rebbe,
Putin has done a lot for Jewish people (and chabad) in russia, Russia is not anti Israel.
If you havent lived in russia for at least 3 years,(not just a visit) you wont have a clue how russians think – just so so different.
(if you look through a glass that’s yellow, every thing on the other side will look yellow, however if you look through a green glass everything will look green!)
