Melbourne Children Enjoy Pre-Purim Fair

The Caulfield (Katanga) Beth Hamedrash in Melbourne, Australia hosted its inaugural Pre-Purim Fair on Sunday, 4 March 2012.

The afternoon was a real success with over 350 children from across the spectrum of the community, many in fancy dress costumes, enjoying the festive fair atmosphere.

Building on the newly established ‘Katanga Katana’ Shabbos morning children’s program, this event re-enforces Katanga as a welcoming, vibrant, family-friendly Shul.

Activities including: animal patting farm, jumping castle, arts & crafts, face painting, balloon twisting, Hamentash making and stalls consisting of jelly-bean guessing, ball tossing and colouring-in entertained the children all afternoon.

Mishloach Manot provided to the children and also prepared for distribution to Jewish Care Glen Eira Villa & Cabrini Hospital were also popular.
