The Rebbe of Karlin-Stolin, Rabbi Boruch Shochet, visited the Lubavitch Shul in Baku, Azerbaijan last night. The Shul, led by Rabbi Shneor Segal, was recently featured in international news headlines due to a foiled Iranian terror plot against the Shliach and the local institutions. The pictures are unclear and badly focused due to the fact that the Karliner Rebbe goes through much effort to avoid being photographed.

….“the Karliner Rebbe goes through much effort to avoid being photographed.”
SO WHY ARE YOU DISREGARDING HIS WISHES?????????????
Moshe
If you realize that he’s trying to be avoided from being photographed, why would you post such pictures that are clearly against his will

By the Rebbe also, the Rebbe wouldn’t like being photographed besides for a few times… so ask the photographers that took pictures of the Rebbe that why would they do that.
a little derech eretz please!
Was the photographer unaware that the Karliner Rebbe does not wish to be photographed? They’re lousy pictures; what was gained besides going against his wishes and perhaps making him feel uncomfortable? Even an ish poshut who visits a Beis Chabad should be treated with common courtesy…
chabad
thanks for posting the pictures, only his pics can be on the cover of the kol holom kulo ??? but not on chabad website!!!
Chabad/Stoliner Chasid
Btw, at the shiva for the rebbitzin, the Lubavicher rebba greeted the Stoliner rebba with the title “Nasi Hador”. I heard it with my own ears and you can verify by listening to the tapes of the shiva.

Since when are his pics on the cover of Kol Haolam Kulo? Even if so, it is rare indeed. At most you can probably count it on the fingers of one hand. Don’t forget, Karlin is one of the biggest chassidus today. Many Rebbess of smaller chassidus are on the front cover almost always.

STOLIN ROCKS!

About “Nasi Hador”. The Rebbe have referad to the Stoliner Rebbe by “Nasi”, what expresses a great respect but he couldn’t say “Nasi Hador” – a leader of generation, because he used to refer like this only to the previous Rebbe. The Rebbe have refeared to only very few people as “Nasi”
