Knesset Member Praises Chabad Efforts in Education
Avi Wortzman, member of the Israeli Knesset (Bayit Yehudi) and Deputy Minister of Education, expressed pride in the state of Jewish education worldwide following a trip to New York for the annual Chabad-Lubavitch conference.
He told Arutz Sheva news “I met thousands of delegates at the conference… it was amazing to see the commitment to Torah and mitzvot.”
He also visited American Jewish private schools with Israeli philanthropist Lev Leviev.
“There is no doubt it connects world Jewry with our country… and gives people a sense of belonging,” he added.
The Chabad-Lubavich International Conference of Shluchim and Shluchos was held in New York last week.
